Portable hot plates are generally used for food preparation or keeping food warm where a full kitchen stove would not be practical, such as a buffet table. This double hot plate uses solid heavy-duty cast iron elements to evenly deliver heat to pots and pans. They are controlled by a high-tech thermostat, which offers sensitive variable heat control to keep food simmering or boiling. The hot plate also has a signal light that only glows during the heating cycle. The stainless steel housing wipes down easily and features four non-skid feet to keep the unit in place when in use. Plus, it's compact size requires little space, making it perfect for display cooking. The electric unit runs on 120 Volts and has a NEMA 5-15P plug.
