School breakfast can help fight hunger and improve students' focus for easier learning. With a Breakfast Program Grant, your school can introduce or expand a breakfast program.
Organizations, such as the California Department of Education and the New York State Education Department, have taken action to ensure students across their states are eating a nutritious morning meal each school day to get them healthy and ready to learn. Grants like the Breakfast After the Bell Equipment Grant are providing up to $5,000 for each school to provide a second chance breakfast solution in their schools. With this funding now available, even schools on the most rigid budget are able to implement a successful breakfast program with the help of HUBERT®.
Students who start their day with full bellies are more likely to have improved cognitive skills that strenthen test scores and are less likely to have behavioral issues in school. Nearly 13 million children are faced with hunger and food insecurities daily, and HUBERT® is dedicated to putting an end to this epidemic.
