The 6 Qt Purple Plastic Allergen Awareness Utility Pail is designed for responsible food businesses who wish to practice Allergen Awareness. Allergen Awareness is essential for all food and beverage companies to prevent customers from suffering serious allergy reactions such as anaphylaxis. The pails are brightly color-coded in purple, red, or green to make it easier for staff to differentiate this pail from other types of pails which are not meant for allergen-safe use. This is important to prevent the risk of cross-contamination as even trace amounts of allergen can cause serious effects.
The pail can be used to sanitize utensils, plates, cups, surfaces and other items that have been in contact with an allergen. There is a reminder printed on the pail to remind staff to rinse and clean the bucket after each use. It is printed in two languages - English and Spanish. The pail serves as a part of HACCP to manage food safety.
